August 21, 2010 Amazing how long and how much running around is involved to get all the licenses and other paperwork done. It sometimes can become so frustrating to just throw in the towel and say, ah, it was worth a try. Yet too much effort and energy has already been invested that it just wouldn't make any sense. And of course the dream is still alive.
City Officials, School Board Members and our County Commissioner have to get together soon to address the need for PUBLIC recreational areas. The effects of the closing of Walker's Field on the old Truman Annex are more and more painful and not to mention Peary Court, although a compromise was reached for the Baseball playing crowd. But not much has been done in other areas with the ever growing AYSO and other soccer playing groups. Let's see what happens next.
July 30, 2010 World Cup2010 now in the distant past and only the ears are still echoeing the sounds of Vuvuzelas as reminder of the 5 week's gone by, I hope time from now on is again spend on the productive side.
